This workshop is designed to help build and refresh the most important suicide intervention skills and is designed for providers at all levels of care. This course satisfies the 6-hour suicide risk assessment and intervention training required under Bill AB 1436 for licensure and renewal for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEP, & LCSWs. 

The Basics of the Clinical Supervision Training course is designed to meet the requirements for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences 15-hour basic supervision course. This course is a required training for LMFTs, LCSWs, & LPCCs who are supervising trainees and associates preparing for licensure in California. (BBS 2022)

New Training: Intervening with Youth with IDD who have Experienced Trauma. Youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) often face unique vulnerabilities that can make them more susceptible to experiencing trauma. Communication challenges, social isolation, and dependence on caregivers may complicate treatment and timely interventions.  In addition, trauma may manifest differently requiring specialized approaches to recognition, intervention, and support.

Join us to learn about ways to successfully engage Latine families in a culturally responsive manner carry yourself with cultural humility and apply core values to make TF-CBT more culturally relevant.  This training will explore cultural enhancements to the PRACTICE components with culturally and linguistically appropriate resources.  Case examples will be used throughout the training.  This training is for therapists who have already completed the initial TF-CBT training.

Working as a Peer Specialist can be rewarding, and for many like a dream come true. Having the opportunity to help others in recovery from behavioral health and SUD diagnosis can also be challenging for peer support specialists, given that they are working on their own recovery at the same time.

Join us for a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) virtual training to begin learning about a proven practice that has robust evidence to treat trauma. This workshop is the initial training as part of a proficiency certification course in TF-CBT for master’s level and above behavioral health practitioners who have completed the necessary prerequisite to see clients. TF-CBT is intended for children, adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma. Learn how implementing TF-CBT could lead to post traumatic growth and resiliency.

Yet, many clinicians are unsure how to best apply CBT techniques with those that have experienced trauma. With growing awareness of the prevalence and impact of trauma across populations, the need for trauma-informed CBT approaches is clear.
